BIO

Wasted Highway is a Nebraska-based roots outfit that merges country, rock-n-roll, bluegrass,

and folk into a gritty, timeless blend. At their best, they combine the rabble-rousing alt-country

of red dirt legends Cross Canadian Ragweed and the outlaw honky-tonk styles of Waylon

Jennings and Merle Haggard, with doses of folk-rock from the likes of Tom Petty and Neil

Young. The members trade off lead vocal duties, as well as trading leads with guitar, fiddle,

mandolin, banjo, and harmonica to provide an undeniably unique show! Combined, the

members have over 6 decades of playing experience all over the world, and are currently

nominated for Outstanding Country Artist of the year by the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards for the second year in a row!

Forming in early 2018, Wasted Highway has enjoyed early success playing for sold out crowds

and opening for national acts such as Cody Canada and the Departed, The Davisson Brothers,

Kylie Frey, Read Southall Band, Josh Ward, the Native Howl, and more. Country stars Kip

Moore, Cody Johnson, David Allan Coe, and Tim Montana are among the artists Wasted

Highway will share the stage with this upcoming year. The band is also slated to play all 3 days

of Country Stampede festival in 2022, including a main stage appearance on the final day. Their

highly anticipated self-titled EP was released in April 2019, to a warm reception that included

radio airplay on several stations both locally and nationally. The band’s sophomore effort is

currently in the works, and is expected to be released in late 2021, with the next single “Old

Man” available in the coming months. The bands live shows are high energy, sing-along,

dancing fun. Original tunes are combined with covers ranging from red dirt country to classic

rock, with some outlaw country and bluegrass in the mix as well. Showing its versatility, the

band can play 4-hour plus gigs and still leave the crowd wanting more! As one recent review put it “great music,

good times, talent out their ass!”
